pretty hanging things

For a while (and possibly still now) there was much excitment in blogland over hanging tissue pom poms used in party decor. I can certainly see the appeal, they are very pretty and fun. I've used them. :) Anyway...I was trolling through my pinterest boards and noticed a trend of using (other) pretty hanging things to pump up the party decor. I think my favorite is the one using ribbon (or are they crepe paper streamers?) paired with cafe string lights. So simple but very festive.

    I've had my eye on that multicolor crepe paper canopy. So pretty!

    I love pretty hanging things. I think it gives a room such a lovely, whimsical touch. The parasols are so adorable. They look like they're floating in midair!

    I love tissue paper poms, but I think I have overused them. I love the idea of simple, inexpensive decorations though....thanks for the ideas! Now I need to throw a party :)

    Definitely a huge fan...the pink one and the purple concoction are ah-mazing! Balloons are always just so festive and make me smile! Have a great weekend!

    Wow! You found some unique ideas in this collection that I hadn't seen. The coral and teal streamers over the table are awesome and I love the outside streamer with the lights too. Definately a big fan!

    I have been hanging balloons like that at my kids parties for years because I was too cheap to but helium haha. Glad my cheap self is hip now ;)
