group discussion : plate walls

In my dining room I have two small walls that meet together (hope that makes sense) and I've been trying to figure out what I want to put on them. Plate walls are so pretty me thinks and has been something I've wanted to try in my home. Those two walls might be good contenders for something like the above. I especially love plate walls when they are more of an eclectic nature, with a good mix of prints, patterns and colors.

Are you a fan of plate walls? Have any of you ever tried this and what would be the best (and cheapest) way to hang the plates? I know you can get the metal spring type ones that wrap behind the plate but is that my only option? Please help a girl out! :)

  1. The plate walls wold be great! Just make sure if you live in CA that you use some earthquake sticking stuff to stick them to the wall, because you never know!

I haven't had a plate wall personally, but it seems like a lot of fun! Especially if you got different ones at flea markets and such with the same colors!

  4. The first time I saw this done on a tv show, I loved it right away! I would definitely try this one day in my kitchen. But I'm always afraid I'll knock them down all the time. And my guy is pretty clumsy sometimes lol. But overall, I say do it! I'd love to see it.
