there is a beautiful 1897 stone barn we pass on our evening walks that we have fallen in love with {so much so that we had our family pictures taken there}. it's not much to look at but it sure is pretty in my head. it's been sitting empty for a long time and i feel sorry for it. it needs some love and attention. everytime we pass the barn, without fail, husband and i begin telling each other what we'd do to it if it was ours. i can see it with whitewashed walls, exposed beams and stone throughout all while being light and airy.

i love this Texan home featured in house beautiful. light, airy, and neutral with great architechual features.

if you're a fan of Ina Garten's, you've most likely seen her barn on the Barefoot Contessa. i love that kitchen.

and then there is the french stone cottage, la maisonette, that Stephanie and her family have been renovating over the past couple of months. oh my, it's perfect. what i wouldn't give to have a little french stone cottage.

pretty blooms for your monday

Hello dears, how was your weekend? Mine was lovely. I had a visit from an old friend, spent hours playing with my little one, was uplifted and strengthened, and picked my husband up from the airport after a long week without him.

i've been in love with this print from MadeByGirl for quite a while now. i'd love to get one for my little's room some day.

a while back i came across pictures that Jennifer of MadeByGirl shared of her home. i love that the pastel colors are paired as such that they have just enough punch so they don't come across too sweet. find more pictures here.

craft room {inspiration}

i've been working on some {sewing and crafting} projects recently and have been craving a bonafide work space just for me. we are currently tiny apartment dwellers and there is no where to work except at the kitchen table. as you can imagine this sometimes presents problems. we've learned to deal with it but that doesn't mean i won't stop dreaming of having my own space someday.
