is currently serving as inspiration for my bedroom. I could totally see myself : sleeping, reading a book, blogging, playing with my kiddos, folding laundry, etc in this room.

I am lucky enough to be part of an amazing organization made up of equally amazing woman who are all supporting their other half in medical school. We get together for different activites/social/service events and the other day we got together for a mini class on floral arranging. I've professed my love of (novice) flower arranging before, I enjoy it a LOT! I thought I'd count this as my monthly creative project.
I was happy to come home with this little arrangement I made using this great tape idea from Martha Stewart {via}. It made it really easy to use the shallower bowl I had on hand as a vase.
I am going to bid you happy weekend a day early! I'll see you back here next week friends!

sweet find : mason jar drink dispenser
I thought I would share this find in case anyone else is interested. I've been on the hunt for a drink dispenser for what seems like forever now so I was a happy when I came across this mason jar dispenser at World Market. Perhaps a little bit picky but I wanted a dispenser made of glass, not expensive, and simple in design so this one being glass and $15 bucks made it perfect for me. Can't wait to use it this summer!
Do tell: What's your favorite summer drink? Me? I'm a pink lemonade kind of girl.

hudson river farmhouse
Life on the farm looks pretty good if these are the accommodations. This rustic glam Hudson River farmhouse was one of my favorite features in Rue's 5 issue. They've got some great party stuff in the issue as well.

Dip-Dyed Stationery
One of my favorite things to do is buy and send pretty note cards. Happy mail makes my day. I'm always up for a diy so I naturally love this dip-dyed stationary from Martha which looks super easy and very customizable. Wouldn't it be pretty to dip some blank note cards in a light peachy-pink hue or maybe a grey like they did in the photo?
The How-To:
2. Holding your paper as straight as possible, dip into dye solution to desired line. Keep paper in dye until it turns the desired color. Hang to dry.

mashup
Well hello there! I just wanted to share a few links that I've seen around the interweb lately. Have a lovely day!
:: Loving Vivian's new 3 ways series...first up, decorating a wood ladder.
:: It's alway nice to see a well designed birthday party for little guys, like this airplane party.
:: Made this tortellini spinach bake in creamy lemon sauce the other day for dinner. Yum!
:: How gorgeous is this tablescape (and Gwyneth) that Kathleen featured?
:: These sweet Italian soda's sound perfect for a summer party.

happy cinco de mayo
I love everything about this picture...the green chippy chair, the flowers, and the little succulent tucked in the middle.
We'll most definitely be having chips and salsa today to celebrate. What about you?

DIY round up
There are so many amazingly creative people out there (in blog world) and I love that they are generous enough to share their creativity and tutorials with the rest of us. Why thank you! On the opposite end of the spectrum, I have a few friends who don't believe they are crafty or creative...psh! I don't believe it for a minute. My theory is that you can only become creative by creating which is a big duh but some people just resign themselves to the fact that they just can't instead of trying. On that note and in my attempt to become more creative, here are just a few projects that I want to make.

So I've already posted this quote before but I thought I would share it again.
What are your thoughts on creativity?

black and white
When it comes to kitchen design, my dream kitchen would be white but after seeing these pictures I might could be convinced a bit of black would be all that bad. Oh and those floors! They had me at hello. Gorgeous.
Do tell: What does your dream kitchen look like?
